It is one of the classical poses, mentioned by Rishi Vyasa in Patanjali\u2019s Yoga Sutras. It is also one of the best grounding asanas, and very adept for meditation. When the spine is aligned in a proper manner, the Prana starts to flow, trough the Sushumna nadi. Thereafter, you have to bring the hands together and create a cradle for the leg and foot.<br \/>\n\u2981 Then, bring the right foot down, so that the outside edge rests inside the left groin.<br \/>\n\u2981 Then, lift the right leg off the ground and bend the left knee.<br \/>\n\u2981 At the left hip, rotate the left foot across the body and into the right groin.<br \/>\n\u2981 Firmly press the heels into your belly.<br \/>\n\u2981 Sit tall, keeping your spine long.<br \/>\n\u2981 You can keep your palms on your knees in any manner.<br \/>\n\u2981 If this pose is comfortable, stay like this for meditation.<br \/>\n\u2981 You have to practice with alternating leg positions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Padmasana comes with immense benefits.
