Bhoonamanasana
Bhoonamanasana is derived from the Sanskrit words “Bhoonaman” means “Surrender to Earth” and “asana” means “pose”. You can also call it Greeting the Earth pose. It is a traditional Hatha Yoga pose. This asana may seem very difficult at first instance, but it is quite easy after you practice it on a regular basis. This asana will help you to connect to your Motherland. How To Do It?
⦁ Open your legs far and wide, depending upon your flexibility.
⦁ Keep your toes in neutral position and inhale while raising your arms up.
⦁ After that bring the arms down and reach for your toes.
⦁ Inhale and exhale as you reach your toes, in a comfortable and regulated manner.
⦁ Now keeping moving forward as much as your body allows, all this while inhale and exhale to move forward.
⦁ Keep bending forward while you exhale.
⦁ Your chin should touch the ground.
⦁ Inhale and exhale and come back to neutral position.
⦁ While you come back to neutral position, in order to save your knees don’t pull back your legs immediately.
⦁ You can place your palms back and gently fold your one leg in and the other simultaneously.
⦁ Relax and then fold the legs.

Contraindications
⦁ If you are pregnant, you must not practice this asana.
⦁ People with high blood pressure issues, must not do this asana.
⦁ If you suffer from Hernia, you must not do this asana.
⦁ Patients suffering from Spondylitis, must not practice this asana.
⦁ If you have stomach ulcers, you must not practice this asana.
⦁ In case of Migraine, you should not practice this asana.
